Project Manager Industrial Automation

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the delivery of industrial automation and control systems projects across a range of industries. This role is essential in ensuring successful project execution from concept through commissioning, with a focus on technical quality, budget control, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, controls, and systems integration, coupled with proven leadership skills in managing complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete lifecycle of automation and controls projects, from planning to execution and delivery.
• Define and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in coordination with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Oversee the design, development, and commissioning of PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based control systems for manufacturing, energy, and other industrial applications.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, engineering teams, and stakeholders.
• Ensure all work complies with regulatory, safety, and industry standards.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and address issues to keep projects on track and within budget.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, change orders, and budget tracking.
• Mentor and guide cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing projects in industrial automation or systems integration.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms.
• Experience with automation platforms including PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and DCS systems.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Rockwell Automation , Allen-Bradley , Studio 5000 , RS Logix , etc.
• PMP certification preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel 75% to 50% (national and international travel).
• U.S. Citizenship, Green Card, or Permanent Residency is required.
