Job Description

• Provide engineering leadership to a multi-disciplinary team, including internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers
• Develop Statements of Work (SOW) to meet research, development, and business requirements, securing necessary approval
• Respond to SOW changes by assessing impacts and negotiating modifications to deliverables, resources, costs, and schedules
• Lead project execution to successfully deliver on defined objectives and requirements
• Establish and track performance metrics to evaluate project success
• Plan, identify, and coordinate resources required throughout the project or program lifecycle
• Define and implement risk mitigation strategies and identify opportunities for improvement
• Compare actual performance against baseline plans to assess efficiency, productivity, and lessons learned
• Provide technical, business, and integration leadership with minimal supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• Experience leading or managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Project Management Professional Certification
• Experience with proposal development and contract negotiations
• Experience with Export Compliance or International programs
• Experience developing and tracking program plans/schedules and budgets for technical projects
• Project management experience in an engineering environment
• Experience in engineering project planning or project management
• Experience supporting weapons systems
• Experience working directly with government customers
• Experience collaborating across functions and organizations
Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
