Project Engineer

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our Milwaukee-based construction team. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the successful execution of commercial construction projects, working closely with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and clients. From pre-construction through closeout, you’ll help drive project performance, ensure quality standards, and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  Support project managers with document control, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and drawing logs.

  Assist with estimating, bid analysis, and procurement of materials and subcontractor services.

  Monitor and update project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking tools.

• n

  Coordinate jobsite logistics, including material deliveries, equipment needs, and subcontractor activities.

  n

• n

  Prepare and maintain daily field reports, meeting minutes, and progress documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Participate in jobsite meetings, walkthroughs, and inspections to ensure alignment with project goals.

• n

  Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and contract requirements.

  n

• n

  Collaborate with field teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.

Qualifications

n
• n

  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  n
n
• n

  1–3 years of experience in commercial construction or a similar industry.

  n
n
• n

  Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.

  n
n
• n

  Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software.

  n
n
• n

  Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite(Excel, Project, Word).

  n
n
• n

  Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with professionalism and accuracy.

• n

  A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

n
• n

  Experience with ground-up construction, interior build-outs, or renovation projects.

  n

• n

  Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

  n

• n

  OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

  n
n
• n

  Knowledge of LEED, sustainable building practices, or design-build delivery methods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $42.00/hr.
