JOB SUMMARY
The Professional Operations Specialist is responsible for executing operations processes and supporting process management and project efforts. This role requires a detailed understanding of processes, projects, systems, markets, and instruments relevant to the team. The Specialist analyzes complex issues, identifies root causes, ensures compliance, manages margining and collateral activities, and supports both internal and external stakeholders to maintain operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute day-to-day margining to ensure calculations comply with policies.
Issue margin calls and monitor their status.
Prepare collateral movements, monitor settlements, reconcile accounts, and maintain collateral balances.
Manage client and internal reporting related to margin and collateral activities.
Perform control activities to ensure exposures are accurately captured and monitored in systems.
Respond to inquiries from clients, sales, and business unit partners on collateral activities and resolve complex problems.
Build and maintain relationships with business unit partners, infrastructure departments, and external client contacts.
Participate in global initiatives and projects to improve controls and streamline margin processes.
Ensure timely completion of compliance courses and adherence to company policies.
Analyze and propose solutions for ambiguous or complex issues to improve processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelorâ€™s degree required.
0â€“3 years of relevant work experience.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple work streams and prioritize effectively.
Awareness of regulatory and market impacts; ability to adapt controls and processes.
Escalation awareness with ability to assess risk and exposure issues.
Good understanding of financial products, including equity/fixed income, OTC derivatives, FX products; basic knowledge of ISDA/CSA is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills for navigating and manipulating large datasets.
Ability to work under pressure and respond positively to changing circumstances.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with external clients to enhance the client experience.
