Job Summary:
The Production Technician will be responsible for wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting sub-assemblies, components, and fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. This role involves preparing units for testing and final inspection while ensuring quality and performance standards are met. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using tools for mechanical and electrical assembly and will contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards based on electrical drawings, schematics, and work instructions using hand and power tools.
Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality standards and conformance with specifications and electrical codes.
Perform electrical wiring assembly of panelboards and/or switchboards using tools such as wire strippers and pliers.
Monitor job progress and communicate part shortages or production issues to supervisors.
Receive, organize, and store materials, and prepare finished products for shipment.
Contribute to Lean Initiatives by identifying and suggesting process, quality, and safety improvements.
Maintain equipment, tools, and work area per established 5S and safety standards.
Cross-train across multiple functions to support team and business needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Minimum 1 year of experience in an assembly-related role using hand and/or power tools.
(Experience in automotive repair, construction, carpentry, or other assembly-type work will be considered.)
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and manufacturing schematics.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Must be willing to work overtime before or after shift hours, including weekends.
