Role: Procurement/Supply Chain - Buyer (Mid Level)

Duration: 3 Months

Location: 100% onsite 170 Rose Orchard Way, San Jose, Ca 95134. Must be in office each day.

Day shift only Monday thru Friday 7am – 4pm or 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities

• While managing the Kanban ordering process, handle supplier communications, negotiation, document preparation, records management, financial administration, inventory management, new product introduction, and general problem-solving.
• Support complex Electro/Mechanical supply chain and inventory management systems.
• Plan inventory levels, locations, and execute forecasting and planning programs.
• Identify and execute inventory reduction/cost reduction projects.
• Be a champion for material processes; promote problem-solving for on-time delivery misses, implement countermeasures, negotiate with suppliers, and provide feedback to affected parties on delivery challenges.

Essential qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in purchasing and working with supply chain and inventory management systems (e.g., KANBAN, MRP, Oracle or similar inventory system).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft products.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong communication across teams and upwards through the organization.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.

Additional notes

The Buyer role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in the purchasing field, with strong knowledge of international procurement & shipping (total cost model). This position requires outstanding organizational, interpersonal, communication, and follow-through skills, with proven ability to work independently.
