This strategic procurement leadership role involves overseeing all purchasing activities related to pharmaceutical liquids, including syrups, suspensions, and injectables. The manager will be responsible for sourcing, vendor management, cost control, and ensuring the timely supply of raw materials and components. This role is highly data-driven and requires strong analytical and leadership capabilities.

Own and manage the entire procurement pipeline at a high level.

Ensure materials are sourced at the right price and delivered at the right time.

Lead vendor negotiations and manage long-term supplier relationships.

Oversee monthly procurement planning and forecasting.

Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, QA, Regulatory, and Manufacturing departments.

Manage and develop a small procurement team of 23 direct reports.

Prepare for future leadership by growing into a broader supply chain role.

Proven team leadership with 35 years of experience managing teams.

Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

Experience in procurement, purchasing, and supply chain management.

Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAGE.

Strong data skills, including the ability to pull, clean, and analyze procurement data.

Familiarity with manufacturing environments and expiration-dated products.

Comfortable managing a book of business in the millions.

Experience in strategic sourcing and procurement management.

Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Excel.

Manufacturing.

The position is fully onsite in Mt Prospect, with some flexibility when needed. The role offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment, with opportunities for growth and advancement in the broader supply chain responsibilities.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mount Prospect, Illinois.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
