Process Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician with strong expertise in plastics processing and injection molding. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of polymer drying requirements, material behavior, and hands-on experience optimizing molding processes to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering on the designs of new molds.
• Perform mold trials, samplings, and pilot runs.
• Establish and document injection molding processes for new molds.
• Establish and document all Scientific Molding opportunities.
• Provide feedback to engineering on new tooling performance and conditions.
• Establish labor requirements for new molds.
• Make recommendations for automation and auxiliary equipment to lower labor costs.
• Maintain machine specifications data on a public drive.
• Maintain files on all scientific molding processes.
• Provide leadership and training for all molding applications.
• Collaborate with production managers and plant manager to conduct performance evaluations for all supervisors using the skill set training matrix.

Essential Skills

• Injection molding expertise.
• Knowledge of mold storage and handling.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other inspection devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance repair skills.
• Must work safely and use all safety precautions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have own tools.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Accomplished setup person with formal processing training.
• Understanding of safety requirements for the use and handling of molds and equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Ewing Township, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58200.00 - $66500.00/yr.
