Process Engineer

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Process Engineer with experience in plastic extrusion to join a dynamic manufacturing team in West Chester, OH. This role focuses on optimizing extrusion processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high product quality through data-driven problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000/year
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:

• Design and improve extrusion processes to boost quality and efficiency
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
• Train operators and technicians on equipment, safety, and process best practices
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor team members on new technologies
• Conduct FMEAs and root cause analyses to mitigate risks and resolve issues
• Manage technical projects from concept to completion
• Analyze production data to identify trends and drive process improvements
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing (preferred)
• Strong understanding of extrusion processes, polymers, and process control
• Skilled in root cause analysis, FMEA, and process capability studies
• Proficient in data analysis and structured problem-solving
• Excellent communication and training skills
• Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Prior hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
