Location: Chicago Metropolitan Area

Compensation: $120,000 - 150,000

MUST HAVE: 3+ years as a Process Engineer in Food Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Conduct root cause analysis on process deviations for corrective actions
• Design and execute experiments for new processes or equipment
• Develop and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures and documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally on new product development projects
• Monitor key process indicators to ensure targets are met consistently
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles
• Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot immediate issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools
• Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with strong attention to detail
