Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to be part of our vibrant healthcare community in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Position Overview:
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in providing excellent clinical care to our patients. This role is designed for flexible schedules with opportunities for PRN (per diem) positions as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

• Greet patients warmly in various settings, including the waiting area, exam rooms, and labs.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding wait times and next steps in their treatment.
• Address patient concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
• Make follow-up calls to patients efficiently.
• Assist front desk staff with patient check-in/check-out when needed.
• Accurately record patients' vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant data.
• Help in patient transfers and assist with procedures under provider supervision.
• Complete all required documentation post-visit diligently.

Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (preferred).
• A Medical Assistant Certificate (preferred).
