Key Responsibilities

Design and lead the implementation of solar PV, battery storage, and microgrid systems.
Create comprehensive construction drawing sets, including single-line and three-line diagrams, adhering to NEC, IEEE, and utility standards.
Conduct interconnection studies and dynamic system modeling.
Perform power system studies such as load flow, arc flash, and short circuit analysis.
Conduct site assessments and optimize equipment placement.
Manage vendor relationships and integrate distributed energy resources.
Collaborate with clients, utilities, and contractors to solve design challenges.
Prepare technical reports and proposals, translating complex solutions into clear insights.
Ensure compliance with all safety codes and jurisdictional regulations.

Qualifications

California PE License (Required).
Minimum of 5 years' experience in power distribution or DER systems.
Expertise in solar PV, energy storage, EV infrastructure, or microgrids.
Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and utility interconnection standards.
Proficiency in modeling tools like ETAP or SKM.
Experience with BOMs, equipment specifications, and routing plans.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
Outstanding communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
