Press Brake Machine Set Up Operator

Responsibilities:

• Set up line tools and secure dies to the press bed and ran.
• Ensure the proper operation of safety devices.
• Synchronize automatic material feed and load materials.
• Operate press to produce pilot pieces for inspection.
• Use and interpret scales, fixtures, calipers, micrometers, patterns, and samples.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain housekeeping of work areas.
• Pack items produced into cartons or containers.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with blueprint reading.
• Proficiency in operating press brake machines.
• Mechanical aptitude and machine setup skills.
• Experience with brake press machines, particularly 8, 10, and 12-foot presses in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Press brake setup experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with CNC machines is advantageous.
• Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) techniques.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
