Pay: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Charlotte, NC office.
Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 3 years of experience in HVAC/mechanical estimating within the construction industry.

Job Description

Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
Review blueprints, technical specifications, and scopes of work to determine requirements
Conduct material takeoffs and ensure precise quantities are included in project bids
Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to build competitive proposals
Provide value engineering recommendations to balance cost, quality, and project goals
Maintain knowledge of current labor rates, material costs, and market conditions
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine project details
Submit comprehensive bid packages and assist with post-bid activities such as cost tracking and change orders

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered
3+ years of HVAC/mechanical estimating experience in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and installation processes
Proficiency with estimating software (FAS EST, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
