MOR PPM Inc., seeks a regular full-time carpenter/concrete finisher in Georgetown, SC. This is a position that offers benefits, but the employee will not be eligible for per diem. In this position you will be working with various materials and using power tools to anchor and brace structures. This position also would be working with concrete, in finishing or to help mold expansion joints and edges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed.
• Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete by using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, and/or hand tools.
• Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-years experience with working in a construction/concrete finishing role.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Use effective verbal and written communication skills. Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately.
• Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required
