Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing, testing, and improving electronic equipment and software, with a focus on PCB board bring-up, hardware testing, and root cause corrective actions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring designs meet airworthiness standards and customer requirements, as well as providing technical solutions and presenting findings.

  Conduct root cause corrective actions for equipment containing electronics and software.

  Perform PCB board bring-up according to circuit design.

  Create PCB board level functional test procedures for circuit functional blocks.

• n

  Conduct electronics hardware testing to ensure requirements are met and generate test reports (DVTR).

• n

  Perform SPICE analysis of circuits using Altium/OrCAD PSPICE tools.

  n
n
• n

  Analyze and design magnetics for EMI filter, boost/buck inductors, and other input/output filters.

  n
n
• n

  Provide inputs to PCB layout design.

  n
n
• n

  Independently find or create solutions to problems requiring research, resourcefulness, and creativity.

• n

  Understand, follow, and promote company policies and procedures.

  n

• n

  Utilize sound technical problem-solving skills to own or support ongoing and new products.

  Apply sound engineering principles to ensure designs meet airworthiness standards and customer requirements.

  Experience in creating hardware design documents covering design analysis, notes, and guidelines.

  Ability to perform analysis and MATLAB/Simulink modeling to generate control algorithms.

  Experience in circuit design and schematic capture using Altium/OrCAD tools.

  Skill in analyzing customer requirements and validating them through analysis/modeling/prototyping.

  Ability to create and maintain hardware requirements specification and hardware interface control documents.

Work Environment

The work environment involves collaboration with various groups within the company, including engineering, industrialization, and operations. It requires interfacing with suppliers and OEM customers, possibly including new suppliers. The role involves using technologies such as Altium/OrCAD PSPICE tools and MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulations. The position offers opportunities for independent problem-solving and technical presentation, and requires adherence to company policies and procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Carson, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
