Job Description

As an Unarmed Security Officer - Screener in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more.

As a Screener in a government location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This position requires you to be armed, drawing on your experience in armed security, law enforcement, or the military. Day Time Mon 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Wed 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Thu 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Fri 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals entering the government location, verifying credentials and monitoring for prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Assist with access control and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
• Maintain detailed records of screening activities and report any unusual observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and law enforcement as needed.
• Remain alert to potential security-related concerns and report them promptly to Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
