Job Description

As a Security Professional - Logistics Patrol - Part Time in Laurel, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a positive environment by working collaboratively with others and upholding the values of agility, reliability, and integrity. This role is unarmed and does not require driving duties.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any suspicious behavior or incidents.
• Document and communicate any security-related incidents or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
