Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. You will play a key role in supporting a government location by conducting regular patrols and monitoring assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will help foster a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff, while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will be responsible for access control, responding to incidents, and maintaining detailed activity reports. This unarmed patrol position may require driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards to Allied Universal management and client representatives.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
