Job Description

As a Security Officer - Defense Facility Patrol in Hanover, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in the aero and defense sector, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with personnel, and providing excellent customer service and communication. You will contribute to a secure environment by responding to incidents and supporting the needs of the location. Pay Rate: $22.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Sat 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM

Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and adherence to protocols.
• Document and report any unusual activity or incidents according to site guidelines.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry points as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
