Job Description

$27.68 per hour | 10:45 AM 7:15 PM TuesFri, 5:45 AM 2:15 PM Sat | Independence, MO

We're seeking a highly professional Armed Security Officer to join our team in Independence, MO. This full-time role covers Tuesday through Saturday, offering daytime and early evening shifts that keep your schedule consistent. Earn $27.68 per hour while providing top-tier protection in a dynamic environment. Candidates with strong attention to detail, a sense of authority, and current armed certification will excel in this critical position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations

Qualifications (Must Have):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess one or more of the following:
• Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
• Prior military experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

Preferred Qualifications (Nice To Have):

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
