Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Utility Patrol - Overnight in Riverview, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a utilities location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires you to be armed and to meet driving requirements, as you may be responsible for patrolling in a vehicle and responding to incidents across a large area. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner while maintaining a visible presence.
• Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
• Support Allied Universal and client management with incident reporting and documentation as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
