As a Security Officer Armed Government Patrol Full Time in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a government location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to incidents as needed, all while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Tue 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Wed 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Thur 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Fri 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Sat 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to established protocols.
• Interact with the public and staff in a professional manner, providing assistance as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
• Follow all company and client policies regarding the handling and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Possess an active armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
