Job Description

As a Security Officer - Aerospace Reception Patrol in Elkridge, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more.

As a Front Desk Security Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and assisting with security-related inquiries. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and upholding our company's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Pay Rate: $22.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities and any security-related incidents.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, communicating with appropriate personnel and first responders.
• Support the overall security-related operations of the location by remaining alert to unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
