As a Security Guard in Aberdeen, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a welcoming and secure environment at a bustling retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. You will be a point of contact for those in need of assistance, using your communication skills to address concerns and support a positive experience for everyone on site. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
