How you'll contribute

A Polysomnographic Technologist (Certified)who excels in this role:

• Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history).

• Determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician, medical director, or clinical coordinator and laboratory protocols.

• Review the patient's history and verify the medical order.

• Follow Sleep Center protocols.

What we're looking for
Applicants should possess knowledge of usage of CPAP/BIPAP devices, oxygen administration, and application of devices. Computer literacy with at least basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Additional requirements include:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.

• Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology ORsuccessful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a sleep technologist ORother allied health credential (RRT, CRT, LPN, RN) with completion of Sleep Credential from BRPT, ABSM, or NBRC within 12 months of employment.

• Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds one of the following: Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) or must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire.

• CPR/BLS certification.
