Job Title: Policy Services Specialist
Locations: Howell, MI | Worcester, MA | Windsor, CT
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr.
Shift: Hybrid Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm; averaging 38.75 hours per week
Duration: 6-9 months
Position Overview/Summary:
Under direct supervision, this Policy Services Specialist will work from a variety of established procedures to provide support to the respective ML Operations business unit. Duties and tasks are varied but standardized and may be of a confidential nature. Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Aids in the servicing of policies by processing requests, troubleshooting inquiries, answering questions, and performing varied tasks.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Provides processing support to the business unit and ensures timely and accurate reporting to outside entities.
Prepare reports and correspondence.
May provide some telephone and administrative support.
Maintains data files including basic Excel spreadsheet work, preparing outgoing mail and correspondence, and legal notices.
Maintains integrity of policy supported documentation.
Interfaces with other team members to collaborate on daily work or assignments.
May provide support as needed in other areas.
Frequent interface with team members and other colleagues providing exceptional communication skills both verbally and written.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Requires 1-3 years of related secretarial or administrative experience.
Working knowledge of insurance experience, a plus.
High School Diploma required; continuing education preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Ability to confidently communicate and partner with operations managers and other team members in the department.
Must be a polished candidate with an energetic personality and eagerness to learn the industry.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, e.g. Outlook, Word and Excel; MS Access knowledge a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Ability to use a personal computer and other standard office equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
