Plumbing Maintenance Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Plumbers for projects located in Greensboro, NC . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $36/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Perform installation, maintenance, alterations, and repairs of commercial water, gas, drain, sewer, and storm line systems.

• Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures across campus buildings.

• Conduct service work including unclogging drains, replacing pipes, and performing general plumbing maintenance.

• Comply with state and local plumbing codes to ensure safety and reliability.

• Prepare and plan work orders; conduct field inspections and determine repair vs. replacement needs.

• Operate and maintain campus sewer and underground storm line systems.

• Review and approve shop drawings for accuracy; inspect contractor work for compliance.

• Conduct testing (destructive and non-destructive) to diagnose plumbing issues.

• Participate in planning and review of facility modifications, upgrades, and new construction projects.

• Maintain records and establish a database for plumbing systems and equipment for future use.

• Collaborate with Facilities supervisors to schedule work with minimal disruption to building occupants.

Requirements:

• Valid NC state Plumber’s License.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Demonstrated plumbing skills and competency to perform the required work.

• Experience in related trades may substitute for formal education on a year-for-year basis.

• Strong knowledge of state and local plumbing codes.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a facilities team.
