Selectek is partnering with a company located near Pontiac, Michigan to fill a PLC Training Instructor role on a contract-to-permanent basis.

Employment Type: Contract to Perm, conversion after six months

Expected Pay Range: $38-43.50 per hour before conversion, depending on certification

Location: Pontiac, Michigan

Job Details: Candidates in this role will travel to local automotive plants and help train apprentices in automation, floor line building, controls system integration, and robotics. No prior training or teaching experience is required for this role. The training curriculum will focus on diagnosing and repairing/troubleshooting automated floor line systems, integrating robotics, and how the processes/systems will work on the manufacturing floor.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working in automation and controls design
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC programming
• Experience with controls layouts and troubleshooting software and hardware components
• Background in Fanuc robotics
• Some experience with electrical maintenance is also preferred.
• Local travel will be 60% of the job, but per diem and hotels will be provided on non-local trips.
• In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client's request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
