Job Overview:

Position : Locum Tenens Urologist
Location : Near Silver Spring, MD
Dates : ASAP - Ongoing
Facility Type : Community Hospital
Hospital Size : 400 beds
EMR System : Cerner

Coverage Details:

Weekend Call Coverage : Friday 5 PM - Monday 8 AM
Amount of Coverage Needed : 3 weekends per month, or 4 on months with 5 weekends
Patient Load : Approximately 5-10 patients per day
Patient Population : All ages, excluding neonates

Department and Procedures:

Department Description : Tertiary care community hospital; no trauma cases
Special Procedures : Comfort required with cystoscopy, urethral dilations, bladder/ureteral repairs, scrotal explorations, and I&Ds

Qualifications:

Board Certification : Required
State License : Required unless IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) eligible
DEA Registration : Required
CSR Registration : Required
Certifications Required : ACLS, BLS

Additional Information:

Support Staff : Normal nursing and tech staff available
Credentialing Timeframe : 60-90 days
