Physician / Surgery - General / Florida / Locum or Permanent / Trauma Neurosurgeon opening just south of Gainesville, FL

Responsibilities

• Focus mainly on trauma neurosurgery (Hospital-based, under the trauma department, managing neuro trauma alerts, trauma consults, manage follow-up clinic, participate in peer review, program improvement, trauma center survey verification/designation, and quality rounds)
• Share the month with another dedicated trauma neurosurgeon with APP support.
• Trauma program is the area\'s only ACS verified Level 1 trauma center servicing 5 counties and over 1M residents. It is also a teaching hospital for the University of Central Florida and hosts the residency consortium.

Qualifications

• Board certified / board eligible in neurosurgery
• Spine fellowship trained and experience in trauma neurosurgery required and must be able to perform complex spine surgery
