Physician - Radiation Oncologist

We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting on Sep 1, 2025. This opportunity involves day shifts from Monday to Friday, focusing on new patient consults, imaging review, and various radiation therapy techniques. The role requires board certification in Radiation Oncology and proficiency in utilizing advanced radiation systems and techniques.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review and assess diagnostic imaging such as CT scans, MRIs, and PET scans to determine tumor locations and critical organ involvement.
• Oversee treatment planning using systems like Eclipse, RayStation, Pinnacle, and Monaco.
• Prescribe and manage External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT) techniques including:
  • 3D Conformal Planning
  • IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy)
  • IGRT (Image-Guided Radiation Therapy)
  • VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy)
  • SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)
  • Electron Beam Therapy
• Direct the use of brachytherapy for cases involving prostate and potentially breast cancer.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.

Qualifications / Additional Information

• Must be board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology.
• Must hold a valid New York medical license.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant field.
• Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
