Primary Care Physician

Ascension Saint Agnes is looking for a Primary Care physician for our Catonsville clinic! This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Saint Agnes to provide medical services to patients.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills, coordinating discharge planning with case management, and recommending, participating in, and working to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. The physician will also accept patient referrals from other physicians, act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, participate in academic programs as requested, provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements, and participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Ascension Saint Agnes is a part of Ascension, a leading non-profit and Catholic health system in the country. The hospital is a 251-bed full-service teaching hospital with residency programs in a number of medical and surgical specialties. Ascension Saint Agnes offers emergency as well as a variety of inpatient and outpatient services in addition to its Six Institutes that focus in the areas of Cancer, Orthopedics and Spine, Cardiovascular, Women and Children, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Bariatric Surgery.

Licensure/certification/registration required: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education required: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
