A healthcare facility near Twin Rocks, PA is seeking a Gastroenterologist with expertise in Internal Medicine for a locum tenens position. The coverage is needed from October 28, 2024, to November 4, 2024 .

• Location : Near Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania
• Duration : October 28 - November 4, 2024
• Work Setting : Combination of inpatient and outpatient care
• Call Schedule : 5 PM 5 PM during the assignment period
• Clinic Hours : 8 AM 4 PM with call coverage outside these hours
• Patient Load : 5-10 inpatient consults per day while on-call

• License : Active Pennsylvania medical license
• Certification : Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology within 5 years of completing residency
• Fellowship : Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
• Experience : Comfortable performing standard Gastroenterology procedures, including upper and lower GI endoscopies

• Upper GI Endoscopy : Biopsy, foreign body removal, and treatment of varices
• Colonoscopy : Biopsy and polyp excision
• ERCP : Diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities
• Esophageal Dilatation & Manometry : Diagnostic and therapeutic
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) : Diagnostic and therapeutic uses
• Liver Biopsy and Small Bowel Biopsy

• EMR System : Epic
• Privileges : Temporary privileges are available
• Travel & Lodging : Provided by the hospital, with nearest airports in Pittsburgh or Latrobe
• Support : No supervision of advanced practice providers or residents is required
