PRACTICE SPECIFICS

• We are looking for a patient-centered Endocrinologist to join our team of 5 Physicians (including 1 Pediatric Endocrinologist), 5 NP/PAs, and 18 additional staff.

• Great position for work/life balance .

• Call: Rotation including weekends; coverage includes inpatient diabetes care. We will openly discuss this as part of the interview process.

• Inpatient coverage at Essentia Health–St. Mary’s Medical Center (344-bed tertiary care hospital, Level I Adult Trauma Center) or Essentia Health–Duluth (165-bed hospital) — both located on the same connected campus.

• Call is in effect for providers during office business hours only and triaged through our RN team first. An NP/PA team covers all hospital glucose management.

• Capability to apply and analyze the latest diabetes-related devices including pumps, sensors, and meters.

• Primarily outpatient practice: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

• Some outreach possible.

• No evening, weekend, or holiday call.

• Patient volume: 10–12 per day.

REQUIREMENTS

• BC/BE in Endocrinology , or

• BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with a strong interest in Diabetes care.

• Duluth, MN , at the westernmost tip of Lake Superior

• 150 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul

• Metro population: 125,000

• Regional service area: 460,000 — comprised of 20 clinics and 7 hospitals

COMPENSATION

• $309,000 for BC/BE Endocrinologist

• Hired candidates may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based pay
