We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity for a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician in the Greenwood, Nebraska area. This position is ideal for physicians seeking a flexible work schedule in a dynamic emergency department with single coverage and strong support staff.

Position Overview:

• Location : Near Greenwood, Nebraska
• Position : Locum Tenens - Emergency Medicine Physician
• Start Date : TBD
• Shifts : Primarily midshifts, 8 - 8.5 hours
  • Example shifts: 10 AM - 8 PM, 2 PM - 12 AM
• Coverage Type : Emergency Department duties
• Support : Physician with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs); APP charts cosigned by physicians
• EMR System : EPIC (with Dragon dictation)
• Setting : Routine ER duties, including codes; limited trauma responsibilities

Key Qualifications:

• Board Certification : Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with at least 10 years of Emergency Department experience
• Licensing : Active Nebraska medical license preferred, but candidates willing to obtain will be considered
• Certifications Required : ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience : Must have actively practiced as an Emergency Medicine Physician within the last 12 months or completed an Emergency Medicine Residency in the last 6 months
• Clean Malpractice History : Highly preferred

Patient and Facility Information:

• Annual Volume : Around 24,000 patients combined for inpatient and outpatient visits
• Single Coverage : One physician and one Advanced Practice Provider (APP) during shifts
• Admits : Approximately 17-20% of cases
• Specialty Backup : Easy
