• Start Date : December 16, 2024
• Contract Duration : Ongoing
• Shift Schedule :
  • 12-hour shifts available, days or nights
  • Shifts run from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  • Approximately 25-30 shifts per month with on-call coverage available
• Support Staff : 30-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverage
• Average Daily Census : Approximately 71 patients per day

• Practice Setting : Emergency Department (ER) within a hospital
• Beds : 366
• Patient Demographic : Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• EMR System : Cerner
• Trauma Level : Level 3
• Observance of Holidays : Coverage may be required on major holidays

• Licensure :
  • Must hold a current Iowa medical license or be eligible under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
  • Valid DEA and CSR licenses
• Certifications :
  • Required: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and MRT for adult and child abuse reporting
• Board Certifications :
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (also accepted: ABPS, IM, or FM with Emergency Medicine experience)
• Experience : Minimum of 2 years in emergency medicine
• Experience with Cerner EMR : Preferred
• Credentialing : Process may take up to 90 days
