Comp: $45-70/hr

We are seeking an experienced HLA Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Palo Alto, CA . This is a night shift position where you will play a key role in conducting high-complexity testing in human leukocyte antigen (HLA) typing, essential for organ transplantation, and other related testing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled in laboratory techniques, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Perform HLA typing using techniques such as PCR , SSO , and SSP .

• Process and analyze blood and tissue samples to identify antigens related to transplant compatibility.

• Ensure accuracy and reliability in testing by following laboratory protocols and procedures.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with equipment or testing procedures.

• Interpret and report test results in a clear and accurate manner.

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.

• Maintain proper documentation and adhere to quality control standards.

• Work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care and treatment.

• Bachelor s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or related field .

• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent (ASCP or equivalent certification preferred).

• HLA laboratory experience is strongly preferred.

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes.

• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and compliance regulations .

• Must be comfortable working night shifts.
