Position Summary

• Assists in carrying out physical therapy treatment programs for inpatients and outpatients under the direction and supervision of licensed physical therapists.
• Performs technical work in all phases of patient treatment.
• Assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the patient care area, supplies and equipment in optimum condition to facilitate smooth operations.
• Participates effectively with other members of the health care team for maximum patient benefit and efficiency.

Experience/Educational Requirements

• Associates degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Professional clinical experience not required. A minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist assistant is preferred.
• Licensure by the Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
• Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
