Phlebotomist PRN Float

As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. Work Schedule: PRN working on an as needed basis; will work 4-8 hour shifts between 10:00PM & 6:30AM.

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Work Location: Will cover at locations in Warren, MI and Madison Heights, MI

Job Responsibilities:

  Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

  n

• n

  Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

  n

• n

  Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

  n
n
• n

  Process billing information and collect payments when required

  n
n
• n

  Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

  n
n
• n

  Maintain patient and specimen information logs

  n
n
• n

  Provide superior customer service to all patients

  n
n
• n

  Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

  n
n
• n

  Travel to additional sites when needed

  n
n

Job Requirements:

n
• n

  High school diploma or equivalent

  n
n
• n

  Previous experience as a phlebotomist

  n
n
• n

  May consider candidates without on the job experience that have completed a phlebotomy training program

  n
n
• n

  Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation

  n
n
• n

  Must be at least 21 years' old

  n
n
• n

  Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

  n
n
• n

  Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  n
n
• n

  Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  n
n
• n

  Comfortable working under minimal supervision

  n
n
• n

  Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  n
n
• n

  Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  n
n
