Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician position available at Columbia St. Marys - Milwaukee. The department is located in Milwaukee, WI. The schedule is day shift, 40 hours per week, 8.5 hour shifts between 8:30am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday. Every fourth to eighth Saturday from 9am to 5pm. No Sundays or major holidays.

Responsibilities include providing distributive pharmacy services and technical support, refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing orders and maintaining inventory for the Pharmacy department, preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds, repackaging bulk medications, receiving and storing incoming supplies, and triaging incoming calls and serving as a liaison between pharmacy, patient, and health professionals.

Requirements include licensure/certification from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board, registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board, and proof of application to register. Preferred credentials include Pharmacy Tech from the National Healthcareer Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a Pharmacy Technician program is preferred.

Additional preferences include willingness to obtain a WI Pharmacy Technician License and preferred retail pharmacy experience certified through PTCB or equivalent.
