Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacists with technical and supportive functions
• Provide orientation and guidance to newly hired pharmacy technicians
• Establish and maintain good relationships with the health care team
• Coordinate responses and resolutions with internal and external parties
• Perform tasks in a timely and safe manner consistent with hospital policies, procedures, and state/federal laws

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required) or Associate's Degree in science-related field with 1 year of hospital experience as a hospital Pharmacy technician (Preferred)
• Minimum Work Experience: 2 years experience in a hospital (Preferred)
• Required Skills/Knowledge: Accurate data entry, fluent reading/writing/speaking English, strong time management and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication
• Required Licenses/Certifications: Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Registered Pharmacy Technician in the District of Columbia (Required)
