Primary Responsibilities:

• Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law

• Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales and answering questions for customers. Achieves customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions , and answering questions

• Other duties include stocking and pricing over the counter (OTC) items, maintaining the OTC areas, processing clinic medication requisitions, and other duties as required by the pharmacist

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or Completion of Certified Technician training program

• TSBP Registration

• 2+ years retail pharmacy experience or completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program

• Ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions

• Ability to communicate with customers to handle complaints and problems

• Ability to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions

• Math cash handling experience. Ability to add and subtract, make change and complete daily cash report

• Ability to type 20 WPM

• Ability to receive prescriptions and ring up sales in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work in fast paced environment, and maneuver around pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications:

• PTCB Certification

• HMO and 3rd party managed care experience

• Compounding experience

• Ability to know when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist

• 10 key by touch experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 to $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
