Job Details

As a Home Delivery Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician, you will support the Home Delivery, Specialty and Adherence Pharmacies to ensure that high-risk patients receive their medications in a timely manner. The Administrative Campus is rapidly expanding with new automation being implemented, allowing the pharmacy to scale 1,500-5,000 prescriptions per day.

A caregiver in this position works part-time shifts between 7:00AM 6:00PM.

Responsibilities

Follow established policies and procedures to support the functions essential to the operations of the pharmacy department.

• Prepare medications (selection, labeling, repackaging, and non-sterile compounding).
• Deliver medications to the appropriate storage locations.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities, and training in an accurate and timely manner.
• Appropriately use information systems, technology, and automation to complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain good standing in the Cleveland Clinic School of Pharmacy Technology program per the student handbook.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP)
• Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy OBOP within 18 months.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) within 18 months of hire date.
• Can perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of hospital experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform the job while standing, walking, reaching, stretching and sitting for prolonged periods; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing, and compounding.

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
