Pharmacist Full Time, Days

Location: Petersburg, AK Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift

Position Overview: A healthcare facility in Petersburg, Alaska is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join its team. This full-time, day-shift role is ideal for a compassionate and detail-oriented professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit rural community.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications in accordance with physician prescriptions and regulatory standards
• Monitor patient medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations to optimize outcomes
• Ensure proper storage and security of pharmaceutical supplies
• Oversee medication inventory, ordering, and management
• Educate patients and healthcare staff on proper medication usage and potential side effects
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Alaska Pharmacist License (or ability to obtain)
• PharmD or Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Previous hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality
