Per Diem Medical Technologist - Core Lab

In this role, you will conduct a range of patient testing and assist with clinical activities in our Core Laboratory, which includes various testing areas such as Chemistry, Toxicology, Blood Gas Analysis, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Hematology (both automated and manual), among others.

Work Schedule: 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM Saturday and Sunday, every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to equipment, test results, specimens, and workflow.
2. Engage in team projects and special assignments.
3. Participate in training and teaching Clinical Laboratory Science students, Pathology residents, and new employees.
4. Perform quality control and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
5. Conduct routine and specialized test procedures, including chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests.
6. Prepare specimens, reagents, and solutions as needed.
7. Report and discuss test results with healthcare providers.
8. Ensure the accuracy of test results and promptly correct any errors.

Additional Information:

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's of Science degree required. Must be eligible to sit for the MT exam within 12 months of hire.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Must obtain MLS/MT (ASCP), MT (NCA), or MT (AMT) certification within 12 months of hire.

Experience Requirements:
No prior experience needed.
