Per Diem Certified Patient Care Technician

Shift Details: Staggering shifts from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM and/or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Job Summary:

As a Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT/A), you will support patient care under the supervision of a Nurse Leader and the direction of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will include essential direct and indirect patient care activities to foster a safe and efficient environment. You’ll be an integral part of the care team, committed to ensuring a positive patient experience.

Requirements:

• Education: Completion of an accredited Patient Care Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, or Medical Assistant Training Course recognized by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• Must complete Hartford HealthCare-approved PCT Preceptor training within 90 days of hire or transfer.

• Experience: Minimum one year of experience as an acute care nursing assistant required.
• Must demonstrate the ability to fulfill the responsibilities of a Patient Care Tech Level 3.

• Licensure and Certification: Active certification as a CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA required. Must maintain certification and obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA within 60 days of hire.
