Payroll Specialist (Union Payroll)

Location: Seattle, WA Contract Length: 6 months Pay: $30 $35/hour DOE

Overview: LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with experience processing union payroll for a 6-month contract role in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll compliance, collective bargaining agreements, and multi-state payroll practices. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring payroll accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll with a focus on union employees.
• Ensure compliance with union contracts, collective bargaining agreements, and federal/state/local wage laws.
• Maintain accurate payroll records including wage garnishments, deductions, and benefits.
• Reconcile payroll reports, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams regarding employee changes, benefits, and timekeeping.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed.
• Stay updated on payroll regulations and union requirements.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll experience, including union payroll processing.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, Workday, or similar).
• Familiarity with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
• High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
