Part Time,Day Shift Three 10/hr shifts a week, every 3rd weekend 7:30am-6pm

Transportation of patients via escort, wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. Conducts equipment rounding, cleaning and distribution as requested. Reports to the Manager of Patient Support Services.

Requirements:

  High school graduate or GED

  n

• n

  BCLS certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities:

n
1. n

   Transports patients and equipment to and from hospital departments within the hospital (only) as requested/assigned.

   n
n
2. n

   Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and stretchers.

   n
n
3. n

   Picks up and delivers supplies and requisitions as requested.

   n
n
4. n

   Performs associated transport equipment rounding, including cleaning, disinfection, and relocation of equipment to appropriate storage areas, based on established par levels, andin ready condition for patient use.

   n
n
5. n

   Transports broken and tagged equipment to appropriate location for repair, and/or for notification to equipment vendor, assuring appropriate repair action is taken.

   n

6. n

   Performs other duties as required or assigned.
