Patent Attorney Chemistry

A law firm seeks a Patent Attorney with expertise in chemistry to join their Washington, D.C. office. The role involves supporting the firm's patent prosecution practice and assisting clients in protecting their technology.

Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Manage assignments from multiple partners and clients.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution.
• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Patent Bar eligible and, if applicable, licensed to practice law in the respective state.
• Strong time management and deadline management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Master's Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field.

Certifications

• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
